FAQ

Where is Chalet Breckenridge?

How do I find the entrance?

There's no sign. Intentional. Chalet is a true speakeasy — the entrance is unmarked by design. Look for La Cima Mall on the south end of Main Street and find the candy shop. Step in and follow the atmosphere. Part of the experience is the discovery.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. The Town of Breckenridge operates free parking lots near Main Street (Blue Lot, Tiger Road lots) free after 3PM. The free Summit Stage bus also runs through downtown.

What are your hours?

Open Wednesday through Saturday, 4PM–1AM. Hours will be adjusted in June — follow @chaletbreckenridge on Instagram for updates.

What is the vibe at Chalet?

Designed for the over-30 crowd who just finished a great dinner and want the night to continue. Early evenings are mellow — low lighting, intimate couches, slower music. As the night progresses, energy and tempo build.

How does the night typically flow?

Chalet is intentionally structured into three phases. From 4–7PM, the focus is on a warm, welcoming après experience — approachable service, great cocktails, family-friendly energy. From 7–9PM, the atmosphere shifts into a more intimate social lounge — deeper into the cocktail program, curated ambiance, and the room finding its rhythm. After 9PM, Chalet transitions into a high-energy nightlife destination with DJ-driven music, bottle service, and a fully elevated experience. The progression is natural — guests rarely notice the shift until they're already in it.

What should I wear?

Smart casual to elevated. Après-ski style done well fits the room. Ski boots and full snow gear aren't ideal — guests are encouraged to dress to impress.

What's the music like?

A live DJ every night we're open sets a slow, atmospheric tone early — jazz, lounge, Sinatra — then builds energy as the evening goes on. Different nights feature different themes: R&B, country, 70s, and more. Follow @chaletbreckenridge for specific DJ announcements.

I heard there are themed bathrooms?

Six uniquely designed bathrooms, each with its own concept. Intentionally Instagrammable. Just go — you'll understand.

Is there a social media wall?

Yes. The space was designed to be photogenic from every angle. Tag us @chaletbreckenridge.

What inspired the design?

Owner Terry Barbu toured speakeasies across the country before building Chalet. The result is a European ski chalet aesthetic fused with speakeasy DNA: layered textures, dramatic lighting, and vintage décor. The interior design was a collaboration with his wife, Ireland Barbu.

Do I need a reservation?

Chalet operates first-come, first-served. Walk-ins are welcome any night. For larger groups or bottle service, reach out in advance.

How do I make a table or bottle service reservation?

On peak winter weekends and during ski season holidays, arriving before 8PM gives you the best access to seating. For event nights, coming early is recommended to ensure a spot.
